SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF MEDITATION
Candle Light -
There are many calming effects of candlelight. Enjoy the beauty of candlelight during moments of stillness. The soft illumination of candlelight can reach in and touch your very soul. The meditative mind often focuses more easily on candlelight than on a mantra. For these and other reasons, I’ll incorporate candlelight into mediation events in the hopes of offering a restorative, and tranquil experience.
Singing Bowls -
I’ve recently begun the practice of incorporating short Tibetan Singing Bowl presentations into meditation and yoga sessions. Singing bowls were brought to Tibet from India, along with the teachings of Buddha, in the 8th century. The sounds from Singing Bowls assists in reaching a deep state of relaxation. Allowing the meditator to transition into a meditative state, more easily. The range of sounds, created by singing bowls, are known to restore the natural vibrations found in the various parts of the human body.
Incense, Essential Oils -
I often utilize incense and essential oils such as Frankincense, Lavender, Cedarwood...to appreciate produce and enjoyable sensory experience to compliment a meditative session.
